The Adelaide Oval gets its first T20i

History will be made as the Adelaide Oval hosts its first International Twenty20 between Australia and England, if my facts are correct.
The Ashes is behind us, but it has also brought about the disharmony behind the scenes of Australian cricket and a serious investigation will be conducted as to where things went so horribly wrong.
Andrew Hilditch assures us though, "The reality is nobody could be more disappointed than the national selection panel."
So clearly us feeling the loss with the sacrifices we make to support our team with time, money and energy (lack of sleep for some) and try our best to stay positive is apparently not reality.

Anyway, tomorrow is the first Twenty20 between us and England. Cameron White will be Captain and I'm so excited for him. He deserves it and I hope he can make a good impression as a leader, let alone his cricketing abilities.
Personally, I want him to be our Skipper in all forms of the game down the line but it's slightly wishful thinking at the moment. He needs that Baggy Green cap back first.
Tim Paine will be our Vice-Skipper and has been in pretty good form since returning from a bust finger.
I really liked Cam's view ahead of the game, reminding us as supporters that this is a new series, a new challenge and a fresh bunch of players who shouldn't be too affected by the Ashes loss. Perhaps some distaste at not being selected.
To quote Cam, "It's really a fresh start for this team specifically, hopefully a change of format, a change of luck."

I don't read analytically in T20 cricket too much unless it's a big series, but this is a good chance to get some momentum and positivity back into the mindsets of Australian supporters.
The ODI series Squad is okay in my opinion (could have seen more batsmen stacking the system eg. Why wasn't Callum Ferguson selected?) but it will all be World Cup preps.
After the two T20s I will post my ideal World Cup Squad of 15 men onto the site.
I would really like to read your opinions and ideal choices.

Excited to see how Aaron Finch goes tomorrow. Very excited for him. All in all keen to see how the Twenty20s go. This is where I like T20. It's a nice change.
David Hussey got the recall to the ODI team, so some good T20 efforts will boost his confidence ahead of the 50 over contest. He is such a highly capable cricketer but he just hasn't really grabbed his opportunities at International level. Here's the golden chance, the last chance for him to make an impact to stand alongside his brother at a World Cup.

Sooner we get rid of these selectors the better. I don't know how an average of 33 last season and 23 this season after being dropped is enough to get you back into the sides. Now I'm still yet to see the WC squad but Christian and Hodge look certain to miss out which is crazy since they are the best and second best batters in this format. It's high time we get back to picking players on form so they know what they need to be doing not who they should be sucking up to.
