With the devastating tragedy as a result of the bushfires in Victoria, if you want too you can do your part to help out in the simplest way possible to ensure there is some form of possible relief to those affected.
Cricket Australia in partnership with the Commonwealth Bank have set up a fund which will be to assist in relief efforts to victims and any involved with what has happened recently.
You can do the simplest thing to help! If you have the means to do it make a donation of whatever money you can towards the fund.
It's times like these we learn quickly what is important in our lives and how the simplest things we do really count!
Please visit the following links for more information on the fund account details details and what CA are doing to assist:

Yes, I saw this on TV yesterday, it was very sad to see. The PM of Australia called it "mass murder." You really can't fight mother nature. Weather is extreme sometimes and in our part of the world, we have to struggle with winter storms every winter.
On a lighter note, Australia should start confidently today. The opening pair has clearly worked and I hope they stick with it until Marsh comes back in the mix. If McCullum opts out for NZ, Australia will have one less headache to worry about. Elliot is in great form though. damn he can hit that ball huh?
Sad to see Warner go but it was inevitable in my eyes. Australia cannot afford a player like him at the moment. He should go back to the Blues and earn his right to be in the international side just like everybody else. People made too much of him, too early. He couldn't handle the pressure but that is cricket. I liked how SA handled Duminy, his rise has been very 'down to earth,' and he has handled the pressure well so far. No comparisons here, just how things can be handled or MIShandled, sometimes in cricket. The pressure is immense on players.
He said mass murder because there is suspicion it is arson, and done by some firestarters. Would be a sick act if it is the case! Just really has upset me what I have seen and heard so be glad to ellaborate on what you said before I get too tired.
Warner was going to happen, but it is a good call for his sake definitly and also the team. The Haddin Clarke partnership was awesome to watch and the first time 'apparently', its been a right combination in 7 years. I need to brainstorm the last 7 years of ODI cricket in my head, got a suspicion that isn't right, but will look into it. Does seem right.
As for the pressure...it is huge that is why I try not to badger players on here cause I respect Australian cricket. Just have my go at the NSP often! But it is a job and a proffession. That is why I have gone at Roy lately. Especially when it is an entertaining sportsman.
As for Elliot...very good timer. His hitting is ok, it's more his cricketing brain is that I like, complemented by excellent timing. A bit like Pup...but not as briliant!

Well lets hope it is not a crime. I think it is too early to comment on anything yet. I think PM might have used the term "mass murder" to describe the horrific situation. whether it is a REAL MURDER, that is yet to be known right? You are in Australia I think, so you would know much better about what is really going on. Keep us posted!
As for being critical towards players, I think it is only natural between fans when their teams don't do well. I think we put in just enough effort and money to watch these guys. So we are in the journey along with the players and we feel the emotions that they do too, atleast to an extent. Respecting teams is a different thing. we are just critical when they play, it's FUN!
When they play a shitty shot, it is a shitty shot! so it all depends how you look at things. It is just discussion mostly.
I think it is more stating that if this has been an act of arson this is what those persons will be judged upon.
But looking to the important facts it is just a reminder of Nature's power and respecting the environment and the importance of your loved ones.
Yeah, I just try to not get harsh, but as a customer or supporter you want to see your team perform. Oh sure if the shot is crap we say it...i just have a line, but none of us here start to personally attack players unless it affects us as supporters. But don't read to much into what I said, it is just from a personal stance, I have no problem writing my opinions on a player not doing the job, taking the jobfor granted, not putting their side first, playing moronic shots (something we have spoken of too much!).
Not long till the game is underway. I don't want Aussie to win for a sake of another win in a drought of losses, but the series we hoped for against the Proteas can happen here. 2-2 , down to the final game. Hope so. Extra excitement!
